2024 Erasmus+ Call for Proposals Now launched- Irish Organisations Invited to Apply
On November 28th, 2023 the European Commission launched the Erasmus+ 2024 call for proposals. This Erasmus+ programme, with a budget of €4.3 billion for 2024, supports educational, training, youth, and sports initiatives in Europe. It provides opportunities for various groups, including school pupils, higher education students, vocational learners, adult learners, educators, and young people in non-formal learning programs.
Here’s all you need to know about the 2024 programme:
- To address inflation and increase participation, the program will raise mobility grant levels by 5.9% for most mobility actions in 2024, building on a 12.27% increase in 2023.
- In 2024, sustainable travel will be encouraged, with participants in remote areas or with insufficient rail networks receiving compensation for using sustainable travel options. Travel contributions will also be available for intra-European higher education mobility.
- Erasmus+ will continue to promote cooperation activities focused on its key priorities: inclusion, active citizenship, democratic participation, and green and digital transitions. These activities range from local projects to transnational initiatives like European Universities, Centres for Vocational Excellence, and Erasmus+ Teacher Academies.
- The program will support Ukraine through various projects, such as facilitating learning mobility, empowering individuals with new skills, combating disinformation, and integrating refugees into educational systems.
- Erasmus+ remains committed to promoting EU values, including human dignity, rights, freedom, democracy, equality, and the rule of law. Public and private organizations in education, training, youth, and sports fields can apply for funding through Erasmus+ National Agencies or the European Education and Culture Executive Agency.
